ByteBox Camera Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Void Research for the iPhone app ByteBox Camera. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
ByteBox Camera turns the camera, and photos you import, into pixel art and ASCII art on your phone. The ByteBox Camera Privacy Policy describes how the app handles pictures, contacts, and purchases. That policy is part of these Terms.
The app
ByteBox Camera runs on supported smartphones. Void Research does not provide an account for the app. Pictures and projects remain in the app on your phone and in your own private iCloud account. Void Research does not receive them and has no access to them.
Your pictures
You retain all rights in the pictures you create and the photos you import. You grant Void Research no rights in those pictures. You are responsible for having the rights required to import a photo, and for the use you make of an export.
Sending
If you send a picture, the app passes that picture and any note you include to Messages, to another app you select, or to the iOS share sheet. Delivery is then the responsibility of the app or service you selected. Void Research does not send the message and does not keep a copy.
Purchases
Sharing and export require a one-time purchase, which Apple processes through the App Store. Apple’s terms govern the download, the payment, and any refund. Void Research does not receive your card number. The purchase remains associated with your Apple ID. If you reinstall the app, Restore Purchases can restore sharing and export.
Acceptable use
You may not use the app in violation of law, to infringe another person’s rights, or to send a picture you do not have the right to send. You may use contacts only to send a picture to a person you select.
License
Void Research owns the app, including its name and design. Subject to these Terms, Void Research grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app. The license does not transfer any ownership to you.
Warranties and liability
The app is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, Void Research disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Void Research does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or free of errors. To the extent permitted by law, Void Research will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of pictures or other data, arising out of your use of the app. Void Research’s total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid Apple for sharing and export. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limits. In those jurisdictions, these terms apply only to the extent the law allows.
Children
ByteBox Camera is intended for a general audience and may be used at any age. It is not directed to children under 13, and Void Research does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
Void Research may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page with a new effective date. If you continue to use the app after that date, the revised Terms apply.
